What’s Your Sign?

Whats Your Sign Link UP

Today I am linking up with Nadine for What’s Your Sign.  I don’t usually follow along with my horoscope or consider myself to be a very superstitious person in general.  I know that my sign is Pisces but other than that I couldnt tell you.  Because of this link up I decided to do some research and here are some things I have learned…

Pisces Astrology February 19 – March 20

Right off the bat I love that there are two fish incorporated in my symbol because I love the water.  I grew up on the coast of Eastern Long Island so swimming and being near the Ocean is important to me.  I also think it is funny that there are two fish because I hate to be alone.  I am a very social person and I feel a bit lost when i am by myself.

Main Characteristics of a Pisces:  Imaginative, Artistic, Kind, Dreamers, Intuitive, Sensitive, Selfless, Escapists, Weak-Willed, Lazy, Adaptable.

I have to say that I don’t relate to very many of those traits.  I am not really a shy, dreamer, wallflower that allows myself to be steam-rolled.  To be honest I am more of a bossy, take charge person than that.

I am not sure if perhaps because my birthday is March 17th I am more of an Aries?  During the next link-up I will read more about that.

What is your sign and do you relate to it?  Do you feel like you embody it’s characteristics?

Share The Love Link Up!

Share the Love A Little Glitter

Good morning guys!  Happy Tuesday and welcome to the second round of the Share The Love Link Up!  I was really impressed with how well received the inaugural link up was!  I was terrified that no one would be interested in participating but a bunch of you did and I appreciate the support so much!  I had fun and I loved getting to learn about a bunch of new bloggers.  I hope you did as well!

This week I am featuring Helene (who I met last week through the link up).

Helene in Beteween

I have been following her since then and I was really impressed with her recent post on how to get the most out of Bloglovin.  I use Bloglovin’ every day so this was really helpful to me.  I had no idea about the save/like feature at all.  Thanks for the tips, Helene!

1.  Share your post that highlights another blogger’s noteworthy content.  It can be anything you found inspiring (a recipe, review, DIY project, etc).  If you loved it and you want to share it with your readers and give the writer props, than it is perfect for this link up.

2. Link back to this site so others can join in on the fun, too!  You can use the button below if you’d like!

A Little Glitter

3. You can link up your posts on any day of the week, but the most common day to do so is Tuesday.

4.  Please visit the blog of the person that linked up before you and leave them a comment.

As the Summer winds down I have been hosting more playdates so my daughter can spend as much time as possible with her friends before they head back to school.  Maybe it is the working Mom guilt that propels me but when I entertain I try to create fun (yet easy) recipes for the kids to make things feel special and festive.  Over the weekend I made these pizzas with the help of Farm Rich and Walmart.  (Farm Rich is also running a recipe contest now for snack hacks just like this – you can find more information below!)

This recipe was extremely simple because it only required FIVE ingredients and I was able to buy them all at Walmart!  I picked up a package of english muffins, pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and Farm Rich Meatballs while shopping for school supplies.  Most of the items were in the produce department (except for the Farm Rich meatballs – which were in the frozen food aisle with their other products).

These pizzas were so SIMPLE to make.  I split the english muffins in half.  You can cut them with a butter knife but I like the jagged nooks and crannies that come from ripping them apart.  It creates more spots for the sauce to settle in to.

Next, I topped them with the pizza sauce, cheese and sprinkled on fresh basil and meatballs.  (I pre-cooked the meatballs according to the package directions and chopped them up.)

I put them into a pre-heated oven set to 350 degrees and baked them for around 20 minutes until the tops were golden brown.

For such an easy snack, these got an extremely warm reception from the kiddos.  My daughter even asked if she could bring one of the leftovers to camp today as her lunch!  (In kid language that is the ultimate seal of approval!)

If you consider yourself a snackhack ninja and can make a fab recipe incorporating one of Farm Rich’s products, you should definitely enter their contest for the chance to win $10,000!

Happy Weekend!

Happy Weekend

Happy Friday Ladies and Gents!  Today is a little sad because my bestie (who has been vacationing in NYC for the Summer) is heading home and leaving me today.  #BlondeSummer2015 has been one for the books though and I cant wait for next year!  I am  going to miss her so much!

Today, I am linking up with AprilAmanda and Della for a Friday Favorites post.  Let’s jump right into it:

1. 3 Ingredient Nutella Mug Cake.  Boom.  The description pretty much says it all!  I already have all the ingredients and I making this this weekend for sure!  I will definitively report back on my findings!

2. Sephora Subscription Box.  I am not a huge subscription service gal but I want this one!  I  tried to sign up but I was put on the wait list.  Darn!  It is only $10 per month, too.

3.  You by Caroline Kepnes.  I just finished reading this as part of my Literary Ladies Book Club and I liked it.  It was creepy but I could not put it down.  If you are looking for something darker this may be a good option for you!

4.  Living Room.  I dont know where this is from – I found it on Pinterest but it is perfection.

5.  This Outfit.  It’s so perfect for early Fall!

Alright loves!  Have a fabulous Monday!  I will see you back here.  P.S. Dont forget to join in on Tuesday for the second installment of the Share The Love Link Up!

My Latest Rocksbox

Rocksbox A Little Glitter

It’s been a while since I have reviewed a Rocksbox set.  I got my last one and liked the pieces so I wound up keeping and wearing them fora a month and a half.  I just sent it in yesterday and I am stalking my Rocksbox account.  I cant wait to see what they send me next!

My last box included:

Crystal Chain Cuff  $50

2015-06-16 09.02.42

This bracelet was really pretty and it had a very cool magnetic lock.  Unfortunately, it was too small for me and left an indent in my one of my freakishly large wrists.  #fatwristproblems

 Kendra Scott
Lee Gold Earrings in Iridescent Drusy  $52

lee earrings

I actually really liked these.  The white color was nice and they were good for Summer but they were smaller than I pictured.  I thought they would be the larger-sized, Kendra Scott earrings that you see everywhere.  They were miniature compared to that.  Otherwise they were cute and I did wear them a few times.  They were not worth $52 to me though.

Greer V-neck Necklace  $52

I have worn this necklace pretty much every day since I got it.  (I am even wearing it as I type this.)  It is so dainty and perfect for every day.  It can be worn with casual clothes, fancy clothes, layered, worn alone.  It is so versatile.  Needless to say I BOUGHT IT!  My first Rocksbox splurge!  With my shine spend it was only $42.  While it was more than I would normally pay for a necklace I love it enough that I think it was worth it.

I cant wait to get my new Rocksbox and will share my goodies when they arrive.  In the meantime, if you are not signed up yet and would like to try a free month, you can use my code “alittleglitterxoxo“.
