One of the my favorite perks of being a blogger in NYC is receiving invitations to fabulous local events. Last night I was able to attend a media preview for the New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center and it was pretty amazing! SheBuysCars hosted #GirlsNightOutNYIAS and it was a great opportunity to sip champagne, hang with my favorite local blogger gals (below from left to right we have Esti from PrimeTime Parenting, Renee from Getting Fit & Fab and Destiny from Suburban Wife, City Life) and learn about new cars/brands. Okay guys! We are nine days out from the beginning of Hanukkah and ten from Christmas. The pressure is officially on to get those presents bought and wrapped! I promised myself I would be done with my holiday shopping by December 1st and although I did not meet my deadline, I came pretty close. Does anyone else spend November willing time to hurry up so we can get to December? Then, it finally comes and you spend the month wanting it to SLOW DOWN because it goes by so quickly? We are decorating and wrapping and baking. It’s amazing!

I think that the time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day is the most stressful time of year for me. It’s cold out (yuck), money is tight from all the holiday shopping, I never see any Sunshine (when I leave for work it’s dark and when I get home it’s already dark) and there is so much to do. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and stressed out (and I usually do). This year I am trying a few different techniques to try to keep myself healthy and happy. Continue reading
