(Obligatory cab selfie!)
The space was absolutely beautiful and everything from the lighting the to music played by DJ Olivia Dope made for a really fun and beautiful evening.
Immediately upon entering the space I came across the booth for Peony (which was pretty exciting for me since I have been stalking them on social media and couldn’t wait to check out the collection in person). How fabulous are their leggings? I also got to meet their Creative Director, Stephanie Feldenkreis, who was a total sweetheart.
Next up, I had the opportunity to speak with a rep from Thierry Mugler to learn more about their fragrances, Angel and Alien. While I was familiar with these products before the event I had not smelled them and I had no idea the amount of time and effort that went into their gorgeous reusable and eco-friendly packaging. Each bottle is a one off and it is “yours”. When you run out of fragrance you simply take your unique bottle and have it refilled (instead of going out and wasting money on a new bottle). I though that was really cool.
Ode à la ROSE was on hand to show their GORGEOUS flowers and run a fun contest where you can guess how many roses made up a giant bouquet. (I didn’t even come close to guessing the right amount.) This Company does something that I wish all of them did, they send you a picture of the bouquet you are sending. This way you can tell it is perfect! I love that!
(Some of you may recognize that pretty lady in the middle! Hey B!)
I was ecstatic to see that Gardein was serving up their delicious fishless fish tacos. I first encountered this brand at InStyle’s Celebrate the Season event last year (you can read my recap here) and I have posted about them a few times since. They make plant-based products that you can use in recipes in place of meat and they taste amazing. I am a total Gardein groupie.
My fishless fish tacos paired extremely well with the delicious wine provided by Brancott Estate. I am not a huge drinker and I had TWO glasses of their Flight Song Sauvignon Blanc! (An added bonus is that it is 20 percent fewer calories than regular wine! Between that and the healthier options provided by Gardein I had a very successful evening dietetically.)
After making sure I was thoroughly nourished I headed over to be pampered. InStyle and Single Edition Media really took care of business in the grooming department. On hand were nail technicians giving out manicures using Essie products, stylists from the Jose Eber Salon doing blow-outs, the team from Sarah Potempa was curling hair with the help of their awesome Beachwaver, Sally Hansen was demonstrating how to use their Airbrush Legs spray to get a flawless glow and Neutrogena was showcasing their Hydro Boost Moisturizer, which is a hybrid between a facial moisturizer and a cooling gel.
Neutrogena also brought in a fun photo booth, which I used after drinking those glasses of Flight Song to create these crazy gifs with Megan from Fashionista Momma and Stella from Fab Gab Blog. (You are welcome, internet.)
I had so much fun hanging with my blogger friends, mingling with PR reps, learning about products and brands and getting pampered.
I’d like to thank all the amazing sponsors of the evening:
