One of the my favorite perks of being a blogger in NYC is receiving invitations to fabulous local events. Last night I was able to attend a media preview for the New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center and it was pretty amazing! SheBuysCars hosted #GirlsNightOutNYIAS and it was a great opportunity to sip champagne, hang with my favorite local blogger gals (below from left to right we have Esti from PrimeTime Parenting, Renee from Getting Fit & Fab and Destiny from Suburban Wife, City Life) and learn about new cars/brands.
I usually go to the auto show with with my family each year but getting a behind the scenes tour was very cool. I love to check out the super expensive luxury cars they have on display! Here are a few of my faves:
I lease my vehicles so I am always on the hunt for my next car/truck. Right now I have a sedan but I am considering maybe getting a crossover or small SUV in the future. It’s fun to explore different vehicles without the pressure of visiting dealership showrooms.
Last night I was able to learn about a few car companies that I was not familiar with. One of them that really impressed me was Mazda. I have never owned a Mazda and I really did not know that much about them. I’ve seen them on the road and thought they were stylish but actually getting to hear about their brand philosophies and sit in the vehicles made a big impact on me. They seem to have a vehicle that suits every lifestyle.
One of my favorite Mazdas is their CX-9. I was really impressed with the fact that it has three rows of seating but it doesn’t feel intimidating or too large where I would be worried about parking it.
I also thought the trim and design of the CX-9 were very elegant. This feels like a luxury vehicle but it starts at only $31,520.
Another vehicle that caught my eye was the Mazda 3 Sedan. This is the size of vehicle that I am usually drawn to. I have one child and live in the City so I can’t have a huge car (parking would be a nightmare) but I need something that has four doors and is big enough for Taylor and I to be comfortable. This one is sporty and good on gas but also big enough to fit three kids in the back for the soccer car pool.
The last Mazda that caught my eye seems super fun! I cant have one right now but someday when Taylor heads off to college, I can totally picture myself rocking this adorable Mazda MX-5 Miata convertible!
