Happy Friday Everyone! This week just flew by for me! Summer is so jammed full with fun events, parties and activities that it makes the time pass so quickly! I cant believe we are already halfway through July! I need time to slow down.
1. Taylor’s Birthday
My best girl turned eleven! We celebrated by getting her hair dyed, having a fun hibachi party with all her friends and she had a sleepover party afterwards with a few of her besties!
Funny story about her hair…initially, I (grudgingly) agreed to let her color her ends pink. That is a huge trend right now with the girls her age and I figured I could chop them off before school started. I took her to the salon and had them bleach the ends of her hair so the color would really pop. They washed off the bleach and were going to start applying the pink but she liked the blonde so much that she decided to leave it like that. Her Dad and I were so relieved! It looks fabulous on her.
The NES is coming back to stores! You can pick up the new mini NES Classic Edition on 11/11 w/ 30 included games! I am totally geeking out over this. I used to spend HOURS with my friends playing Super Mario Brothers. This one is DEFINITELY going on my Christmas list!
3. MAC Cosmetics Sample Sale
MAC Cosmetics is hosting it’s first ever sample sale in NYC starting on Tuesday! I may just have to wait on line for this one! You can get more information on it HERE.
4. Popsicle Cocktails
Popsicle cocktails are a huge trend in NYC right now. I believe they started over at the Loopy Doopy Rooftop Bar at the Conrad Hotel. Pictures of them started popping up in my Instagram timeline last Summer but they are super popular right now and I finally got to snag one at an event I attended on Wednesday night. Champagne or prosecco on it’s own is amazing and I am a big fan but the popsicle definitely elevates it to a fun and refreshing Summer treat. I would definitely recommend these for your next Summer soiree.
5. Blake Lively
I’ve saved the best for last this week! The other day my bestie and I were down in Soho and we spotted a crowd of paparazzi and onlookers crowded around the entrance to the Crosby Street Hotel. We asked who everyone was waiting for and quite a few people did not even know who was inside. They were just there because of the crowd. Someone told us it was Justin Beiber and then someone else said Blake Lively. We were discussing whether or not we should wait when out strolled my girl crush, Blake! She looked absolutely flawless! It pretty much made my whole year! She is taller and more beautiful in person than she looks onscreen!
Alright, loves! Have a fabulous weekend and enjoy the warm weather because at the rate this year is flying by it will be Christmas before we know it!
