Kids and Cabernet – Guest Post

Good morning!  Today the lovely Amanda from Kids and Cabernet is filling in for me.  I always love to read her posts since I know NOTHING about wine.  I learn so much from her!  Thank you Amanda!

Hi A Little Glitter Readers!  My name is Amanda, and I blog at Kids and Cabernet.  You can find me posting a little about everything fashion, home decor, being a stay-at-home mom and wine.  I’m SO excited to be here for Pamela,  I love her blog and sense of humor so much.

As I mentioned I love wine, like I usually have a glass or two in the evenings or with dinner.  Being on one income though, we don’t really splurge on expensive wines – although I have expensive taste in wines.  So today I wanted to tell you about wines that are great bargains – all under $15 that easily taste like $20 bottles.

Kirkland’s 2014 Pinot Grigio  – I’m obsessed with this wine and I always pick up a bottle (or two) when I’m in Costco, for $5.99 you really can’t go wrong with this wine.  It’s crisp, light and tastes like a white wine blend – so good!  Costco’s Kirkland brand wines are some of my favorites – you’re guaranteed to get a good bang for your buck!

Riondo Prosecco – For those of you who enjoy a good bubbly this prosecco is on point.  It’s fruity (but not too sweet) and light.  I like to pair it with mixed berries – such a fun summer drink!

Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon – As much as I like whites, red wines are my favorites.  It doesn’t matter the season, I’ll always drink a glass of red wine. This wine is full bodied and slightly smokey – basically my favorite type of flavors all corked in one bottle!

Carnivor Cabernet Sauvignon – This wine is SO good, it has a deep red/purple color and is so savory.  I’ve served this to guests and they rave about how much they love it.  It’s slightly sweet but not too sweet and very smooth.  One of my favorites!

What are your favorite inexpensive wines?

Thank you Pamela for having me and allowing me to talk about one of my favorite subjects 😉
