Merry Christmas {+Introducing NICO!!}

Good morning loves!  By now Taylor is awake and the presents have been opened, so I can finally let the cat out of the bag!  I mentioned in a few previous posts that we planned to get T something epic for Christmas and I am now happy to be able to share with you guys that it was a KITTEN!  Introducing Nico Bannon!

Lilac Point Balinese Kitten Cat

He was born on September 27th 2015 in Seattle and he is (our current cat) Jeter’s little brother!  We got him from the same breeder and he has the same Mom and Dad.  The resemblance between the two kitties is astounding.  He is a tiny, sweet, little love bug but he is also pretty spunky and curious and has tons of energy.  He will definitely keep Jeter on his toes!

I hope you all having a fabulous holiday!  What was your favorite present?  Leave it for me in the comments so I can live vicariously!

Say More With Hershey’s KISSES Deluxe! {Plus a GIVEAWAY!}

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Hershey’s KISSES Deluxe. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.Hersheys #SayMoreSince Christmas is two weeks away, I would REALLY love to be able to tell you that I am done with my shopping.  Usually, I am completely finished before Thanksgiving.  Unfortunately, this year that is just not the case.  These last few months have been hectic and shopping had to be put on hold.  Now that the dust has settled a little, I am back to searching for the perfect present for a lot of the special people in my life.

I still have to buy for my family members, my co-workers, Jeter and get a few more things for my little blonde unicorn.  Thankfully, I have made a little bit of a dent in my list.

I find that every year there are new additions to buy for.  These usually wind up being people that provide services relating to my daughter and my interaction with them can be limited to running in and picking Taylor up and whisking her off to eat dinner, do homework or off to another activity.  There is not usually a huge amount of time for me to thank them for the contribution to our lives and I think that is a shame.

This year I added Taylor’s new bus driver and her music teacher to the people that I usually buy for (which includes the secretaries at Taylor’s school, all 7 of her teachers, her after-school aides, her security guard, her soccer coach and the mailman).  All of these people are special and I appreciate the things they do for us so much.  I struggle with wanting to buy them something meaningful, that they will enjoy and staying within my budget.

#SayMore Hershey Kisses Deluxe

This year I decided to #SayMore by giving them each a 35 piece Hershey’s KISSES Deluxe gift set.  These KISSES are wrapped in beautiful gold paper and are twice the size of an original KISSES Chocolate.  They have a creamy chocolate center surrounding a whole roasted hazelnut, finished with delicate crisps and smooth milk chocolate.

Candy Sleighs

Candy Sleighs!

I dont know about you guys but every year right before Christmas I remember that I need to make/buy gifts for all the wonderful aids/helpers in my daughter’s school and I panic.  I panic because there are so many people and I have no idea what to get them all.  My daughter is so generous and she wants to give something to EVERYONE.  When we make a list of the people that we should get presents for, the conversation sounds something like this:

“We need to get something for the other lunch aid.  Not my regular lunch aid, but the other one, because she helped me once a few months ago when my regular aid was out and she is very nice.”

Then I stare at my list of twenty people and I wonder what I could possibly give them all for a few dollars each that would not be total garbage.  This year, I found an idea on Pinterest that I am so happy with and I just had to share it with you!

I am not sure who came up with this idea.  I did not.  I am not taking credit.  I am just showing you my take on it.  Periodically I am going to post an idea that I find on Pinterest with you guys.  Hopefully, it can help you, too.

So, to begin you must assemble your supplies.  You will need:

– a glue gun and glue sticks (I have the cheapest one ever that I bought at Michaels years ago.  I have used it thousands of times and it keeps on ticking.  No need to buy anything fancy here.)

– one regular-sized Kit Kat bar for each sleigh

– 10 Hershey miniatures for each sleigh

– a spool of thickish ribbon (I used gold)

– a peel and stick bow for each sleigh

– 2 candy canes per sleigh

To begin, let your glue gun warm up and assemble your supplies.  Then take a Kit Kat bar and put a strip of hot glue down each side and attach a candy cane.

Next, you are going to create a pyramid of Hershey’s Miniatures on top of the Kit Kat.  I used four bars for the base.  Hot glue those babies right on.

Next you are going to glue ribbon onto the sleigh and top it with a bow.

That is all there is to it!  So cheap and so easy!  Now the lucky recipient can eat the candy or save it as a cute decoration.
