If you know anything about me, then you are probably aware that I am obsessed with my car. I just got it in December and I baby it a little.

I park in outer space to prevent nicks and dings in parking lots.
I also get it washed weekly to keep it nice and squeaky clean.

You can imagine my horror last week when I was rushing to get ready to visit my bestie on Long Island and I realized I needed my first oil change! When I called her in a blind panic to tell her that I was going to be late because I had to stop to get stuff for Taylor’s camp (which was starting the next week), pick up a few other things for the house and now get an oil change, she filled me in on the fact that Walmart does oil changes! I could handle my errands all while getting my car done! How fabulous is it to be able to multitask?
At first I was a little reluctant because when I think of Walmart, I think of household goods and groceries. I was not even aware they serviced vehicles there but she assured me they would take good care of my baby.
I went immediately to my local Walmart and pulled around the side and wouldn’t you know it? There was a normal-looking automotive center. I dropped my car off with the friendly attendant and went inside to pay.

I spoke with the cashier about their different types of oil and decided to go with Pennzoil’s Platinum Synthetic Oil. It has PurePlus™ Technology that is proven to keep pistons up to 40% cleaner than the toughest industry standard. It also uses a revolutionary process that converts natural gas into a 99.5% pure base oil.
Did you know Pennzoil offers a free warranty that covers 15 engine parts that may fail due to engine wear or which experience abnormal wear due to friction? You can learn more about it on the Pennzoil warranty site.
Oil changes at Walmart already have low prices, but from June 10th – September 9th, Pennzoil oil changes will be on Rollback at Walmart ACC {Automotive Care Center} stores!
- High Mileage $35.88, compared to the regular Walmart price of $39.88. {Industry standard price is $46}
- Platinum Full Synthetic $45.88, compared to the regular Walmart price of $49.88. {Industry standard price $66}
After choosing my oil and giving some information, the clerk gave me a ticket that I could scan at any price checker to get a status on my car! How handy is that?

Taylor and I ran all over the store and got everything we needed by the time my oil change was finished. We were in and out in about 45 minutes. I was able to throw everything I bought in the trunk and head to Long Island straight from Walmart. Don’t you love when things work out according to plan?
